Charlie Poole (1930), decorated and inscribed by his wife, upon his death - 1931

Charlie may be gone, but he’s not forgotten. What with all the stories of his antics on and off stage, a bigger than life legend
has grown up about the man. He also left behind his songs, which live on in the hands of bluegrass and old-time musicians.
Not a bad legacy for a semi-literate millhand musician who never let his deal go down until his last gold dollar was gone.
